Ryan got a job in Sandy UT. We were not even looking for a job but a friend referred him and he got the offer 1 week later. It feels right to go despite how much I will miss Santa Barbara and my job.  It will be wonderful to live near family and live somewhere more affordable! I think Eli believes we will live at his grandparents houses and he will play with grandpa's and their toys all day! We hope to be there by Christmas!

A little about Wyatt. . .

My sweet little bug -and I do mean little. The last measure showed him <5% for height and weight. He is an active one; always wanting to keep up (or at least watch) his older brother, though he is a little scared of him as well.  Wyatt loves swim lessons and splashing in the water.  He doesn't even cry when he goes under. He is crawling and cruising like many 10 month olds but recently in a fit of tears, he let go of the couch and took 3 steps toward me! Now I won't say he is ready to walk but it was cute to see him try.  Speaking of crying, Wyatt is in an attachment phase where he constantly wants to be held or near Mom (Dad will work too if Mom's not around). He is also not a great sleeper. Essentially waking every 2-4 hours since he was born. Now I know many of you say we need to let him cry it out but I am not a fan of that since we tried it with Eli without success. Though I am tired this is working for now- 'but please Wyatt any time you want to learn to sleep longer is fine with me...' Wyatt is our sensitive guy. Anything new can get him upset but he generally grows accustom with time. He favorite sayings are 'mama,' 'baba,' clicking his tongue and waving his hand for hello, goodbye, pointing, saying I want, more, and anything else. He has such a cute smile that lightens my spirits!

We went for the Toy Story theme- Buzz, Jesse, and an alien. 

I made Wyatt's alien hat- which for someone who does not sew like me it is really saying something! I have to say I am pleased with how it turned out- but I have had my fill of sewing for the next year or so.

Eli was too over-stimulated to say 'trick or treat' but he was not shy in reaching for the candy.

Stanley Cross 1918-2011

Stanley Cross, 93, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at his home in Salt Lake City Utah of causes incident to age.

Born May 10, 1918 in Victoria BC Canada the second of six children of Edward and Jessie Williams Cross.  Moved to Salt Lake City, Utah while very young and graduated from West High School.  Served an LDS Mission to California from April 1940 - March 1942.  Married June Loveridge in the Salt Lake Temple November 24, 1942.  They had four children; Steven Edward, Marilyn, Sharon and Kathleen.  June passed away April 2, 1994.  Married Joyce Edwards Henderson in the Salt Lake Temple on September 14, 1994 adding Robyn, Marilyn, Mark, Karen and Christine to his family.  With Joyce, Stan was able to achieve his lifelong dream of traveling the US and abroad.  They were able to visit many places he had longed to see.  He worked at the US Postal Service for many years retiring in 1983.  Dad held many positions in the LDS Church including work in the Salt Lake Temple for 18 years.

Survived by wife Joyce; daughters Marilyn Cross, Sharon (Scott) Bailey, Kathleen (Wayne) Parrish; step-children Robyn (Scott) Martin, Marilyn (Brett) Call, Mark (Kelly) Henderson, Karen (Scot) Canfield, and Christine (Kevin) Moray; 23 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and sisters Winifred Trythall and June (Bob) Ericson. Preceded in death by his first wife June; son Steven; and siblings Kenneth, Bill and Ada Hatch. 

Services will be held Monday, October 17^th at 12:00 pm at the Forestview LDS Ward, 1111 E. Charlton (2818 S.), Salt Lake City, with a viewing beginning at 10:30 am.  Interment to follow at Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 E. 4580 S., Salt Lake City.

The family wishes to thank Curo Hospice, especially Ann, Jan and Pat for their care and comfort.

We are grateful to have been able to travel back to Utah to the funeral and visit with family. It was wonderful to see everyone though the circumstances were not ideal.
